Bottom line: KillerPlayer takes a YouTube video and shows it on your site in its own player, with no YouTube logo, ads, titles or recommended videos at the end. You keep hosting the video on YouTube; KillerPlayer changes how it’s presented. On AppSumo it sells three plans, $69, $138 and $207 once. The detail to read first is how videos are counted. Plan 1 carries a “One time credit for 100 videos total,” and Plan 2 “500 videos total.” That’s a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one; only Plan 3 is unlimited. KillerPlayer’s own site sells the same first two plans at the same prices. The listing is “Not covered by We Got Your Back.”
Best for: course creators, coaches and agencies who host on YouTube but want a clean, on-brand player on their sales pages and lessons.
Think twice if: you need completion tracking for an LMS, a playlist player, or a true private video host.
We have no affiliate deal with KillerPlayer or AppSumo; links go to the official pages. How we review.
Updated 29 October 2026. This KillerPlayer review rests on what we read that day: the KillerPlayer listing on AppSumo, including all three plans, the deal terms, questions and reviews, and KillerPlayer’s own pricing page. We haven’t embedded it on a live site, so we describe the plans, the limits and what buyers report, not load times.

What KillerPlayer does
You paste a YouTube link into KillerPlayer, pick one of five player themes, set your colours, and copy an embed code to your site. The viewer sees your player instead of YouTube’s. Features listed on every AppSumo plan include:
- No YouTube branding or recommendations, with the option to show or hide the YouTube logo.
- Five player themes with unlimited colour options, and autoplay.
- A custom watermark and password protection for videos.
- A video library and analytics inside your account.
- Live streaming, with YouTube Live named as an integration.
- No video length limit and no bandwidth limit, plus mobile-responsive embeds and no KillerPlayer branding.
KillerPlayer’s own pricing page adds custom thumbnails and says the company has offered the player “since 2015.”
The video credit, plan by plan
Here’s the line most people miss. The plan cards read like this:
- Plan 1 ($69): “One time credit for 100 videos total,” 500,000 views a month.
- Plan 2 ($138): “One time credit for 500 videos total,” 2,000,000 views a month.
- Plan 3 ($207): “Unlimited videos (lifetime access, no limit),” unlimited views a month.
Views reset monthly; videos don’t. Once you’ve added 100 videos on Plan 1, you’ve used the plan’s video allowance for good. We couldn’t find on either page whether deleting a video gives its credit back, so ask before you rely on that.
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Plan 1 A fixed lesson library |
$69 once |
| Plan 2 Growing libraries |
$138 once |
| Plan 3 Agencies, Domain Lock |
$207 once |
One-time prices on AppSumo; each plan is a number of stacked codes (1 to 3). KillerPlayer's own site sells Starter $39, Plus $69, Premium $138 and Enterprise $307 once, with a 30-day guarantee.
Prices checked Oct 29, 2026 on KillerPlayer’s own pricing page. Lifetime deals are listings that can end or change, so check the live listing before you buy.
Three worked examples
Turns out the right tier depends far more on how many videos you’ll ever add than on traffic, because the view limits are generous and they reset every month while the video credit never does.
A coach with one flagship course. Forty lessons, a sales video and a handful of testimonials: about 50 videos. Plan 1’s 100 covers it with room for a second course. Views won’t come close to 500,000 a month.
A blogger embedding every upload. Two YouTube videos a week, each embedded in a post, is about 104 videos a year. Plan 1 runs out inside a year; Plan 2’s 500 lasts roughly five. If you’ve got an old back catalogue to embed too, add it to the count before choosing.
An agency with ten client sites. Each client has fifteen videos on their pages, so 150 to start, plus new ones every month. Plan 2 works for a while; Plan 3 removes the ceiling and adds Domain Lock, which matters when you don’t want a client’s videos playing on someone else’s site.
If you’re unsure, don’t forget that extra codes can only be bought while this listing is still up.
For a course with 40 lessons, Plan 1 is plenty. For a weekly channel that embeds every upload on a blog, two years of videos uses it up. In practice, count the videos you’ll embed over the next few years, not this month.
Domain Lock: Tier 3, or Premium?
Domain Lock stops your embeds from playing on other people’s sites, and a custom domain (CNAME) serves the player from your own address. On AppSumo, a buyer asked in November 2025 whether these were in Tier 2 and Tier 3. The founder answered in December: “Domain Lock & CNAME is only available in Tier 3 plan.”
KillerPlayer’s own pricing page lists “Domain Lock Feature” and “Custom Domain” under its Premium plan, the $138 tier. So the two pages differ. If you’re buying for Domain Lock, the founder’s answer on the listing is the one that applies to AppSumo buyers, and Plan 3 is the safe choice. One Plan 3 buyer added two useful details: the CNAME feature needs a Cloudflare account, and Domain Lock is “account-wide not video specific.”
The deal vs KillerPlayer’s own lifetime plans
KillerPlayer’s own pricing page sells one-time plans too, read on 29 October 2026:
| KillerPlayer’s own plan | Price | Videos | Views a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $39 once | 50 | 100,000 |
| Plus | $69 once | 100 | 500,000 |
| Premium | $138 once | 500 | 2 million |
| Enterprise | $307 once | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Plans 1 and 2 on AppSumo cost exactly what Plus and Premium cost on KillerPlayer’s site. Plan 3 is the real saving: $207 on AppSumo against $307 for Enterprise. Buying on AppSumo also gives a 60-day refund window, where KillerPlayer’s own guarantee is 30 days. Honestly, for the two smaller tiers the refund window is the main reason to buy through AppSumo.
What KillerPlayer can’t do
No LMS tracking. In July 2026 a buyer asked whether they could track the percentage watched and completion inside an LMS. The founder’s September reply: “This tracking feature isn’t available yet.”
No playlists. A July 2026 review asked for a playlist feature; we found no sign it exists.
Not every YouTube video type. One buyer said KillerPlayer “didnt support the specific type of YT video we were hoping to use,” and they were waiting for an update.
Developer API questions. A September 2026 question asked whether the embed exposes playback events to the page, for a course tool. We found no answer on the listing.
The YouTube question
KillerPlayer’s own FAQ takes on the question every buyer asks: does removing YouTube’s branding, ads and recommendations break YouTube’s terms or risk your channel? Its answer says KillerPlayer “is not designed to bypass YouTube’s systems, evade detection, or interfere with a creator’s YouTube account,” and that customers haven’t reported their accounts being penalised for using it. The answer doesn’t say YouTube approves the practice. We can’t settle that for you; read YouTube’s own terms for embedded players, and decide with your own channel in mind.
What buyers report
The listing shows 4.44 stars from 228 reviews.
Support helps with setup. Several buyers describe fast, hands-on help. One said support “replied the same day” and sent setup steps, despite a “lack of video tutorials or instruction guides.” Another had a display problem on a teaching platform that support fixed.
Some questions wait. In October 2026 a buyer noted answers “going unanswered for 2-3 weeks.” The LMS question above took about two months.
A note on the maths. One review compares KillerPlayer to paying for Vimeo hosting. That comparison isn’t quite fair: your videos still live on YouTube, so you’re replacing the player, not the host. If you need private hosting that never touches YouTube, KillerPlayer doesn’t do that.
The terms
The deal terms read:
- “Lifetime access to KillerPlayer”
- “You must redeem your code(s) within 60 days of purchase”
- “All future Plus (Tier 1), Premium (Tier 2), or Enterprise (Tier 3) Plan updates”
- “Stack up to 3 codes”
The update line ties each AppSumo plan to the matching plan on KillerPlayer’s own site, which is clearer than most deals we’ve read.
Common mistakes with the KillerPlayer deal
Reading 100 videos as a monthly figure. It’s a one-time credit. Count your embeds over years, not weeks.
Buying Plan 2 for Domain Lock. The founder says Tier 3 only on AppSumo.
Expecting LMS completion data. It isn’t there yet. When you need to prove a student finished a lesson, use your LMS’s own video tools.
Treating it as a video host. Don’t. The video stays on YouTube, public or unlisted.
Skipping the Cloudflare step. If you’ve bought Tier 3 for a custom domain, you’ll need a Cloudflare account to set it up.
Missing the 60-day redemption window. Redeem every code you buy straight away.
Who KillerPlayer suits
A course creator with a fixed lesson library. Plan 1 covers up to 100 lessons with a clean player.
A coach with sales pages. Hiding recommended videos keeps viewers on your offer.
An agency embedding for many clients. Plan 3, for unlimited videos and Domain Lock.
Anyone needing private hosting or completion tracking. Skip it.
How to test it inside the refund window
- Embed your three most-viewed videos on a real page.
- Check the end screen on desktop and phone for any recommendations.
- Test your page builder or LMS, since one buyer had a display issue.
- Ask support whether a deleted video returns its credit.
- If you’re on Plan 3, set up Domain Lock and try the embed on another domain.
What we couldn’t check
We didn’t embed videos, measure load times or test the analytics. We couldn’t confirm whether deleting a video frees its credit, or resolve which tier carries Domain Lock outside the founder’s AppSumo answer. Settle those before day 60.
FAQ: KillerPlayer questions
Is KillerPlayer a one-time payment on AppSumo?
Yes: $69, $138 or $207 once, for 1 to 3 stacked codes.
How many videos does the KillerPlayer lifetime deal include?
Plan 1 has a one-time credit for 100 videos in total, Plan 2 for 500, and Plan 3 is unlimited.
Does KillerPlayer host my videos?
No. Your videos stay on YouTube; KillerPlayer replaces the player your visitors see.
Can KillerPlayer track video completion in an LMS?
Not yet. The founder said in September 2026 that LMS-level tracking isn’t available.
The verdict
KillerPlayer does one thing well: it makes a YouTube embed look like your own player, without the ads and recommendations that pull viewers away. Read the plans as lifetime video allowances, not monthly ones, and buy Plan 3 if you need Domain Lock or expect to embed a lot. The first two tiers cost the same on KillerPlayer’s own site, so the AppSumo case there rests on the longer refund window. The missing tracking, playlists and AppSumo guarantee keep the score lower.
