Bottom line: Pin Generator turns a blog, store or affiliate site into Pinterest pins. It can design them with AI or with your own templates, write the titles, descriptions and alt text, pick boards and publish on a schedule. On AppSumo it sells three tiers, $99, $198 and $297 once. When you open the listing, read the deal terms first: “Choose between 1 year (Tiers 1-2) or Lifetime (Tier 3) access.” Every plan card still ends with the words “Lifetime access,” which is the line most people miss. The second thing is credits. A pin with a high-quality AI image uses about 30 of them, which turns Tier 1’s 600 a month into roughly 20 pins. The listing is refundable for 60 days and “Not covered by We Got Your Back.”
Best for: bloggers, Etsy and Shopify sellers and affiliate marketers who already know Pinterest sends them traffic and want to post more often with less design work.
Think twice if: you expect a fully hands-off machine on the smallest tier, or you want a tool for other social networks too.
We have no affiliate deal with Pin Generator or AppSumo; links go to the official pages. How we review.
Updated 29 October 2026. This Pin Generator review rests on what we read that day: the Pin Generator listing on AppSumo, including all three tiers, the deal terms, the founder’s posts, questions and reviews, and Pin Generator’s own pricing page with its plans and credit table. We haven’t connected it to a Pinterest account, so we describe the plans, the credit maths and what buyers report, not the quality of the pins or the traffic they bring.

What Pin Generator does
You give Pin Generator a website, a sitemap, an RSS feed or a product catalogue, and it makes Pinterest pins from it. The listing’s own summary puts it plainly: AI “designs pins, writes titles, descriptions, and alt text, picks boards, and publishes on schedule.” You choose a weekly or a four-weekly batch, and the automation keeps filling your queue.
The features the listing and the vendor’s page describe fall into a few groups:
- Automations. Set one up once, let the AI learn your brand colours and fonts, and choose how many pins a day you want.
- Images. AI images from a model the listing names as Nano Banana 2, or your own dynamic templates, Canva imports and stock images and videos.
- Writing. AI titles, descriptions and alt text, plus an “AI rewriter” listed on every tier.
- Research. Keyword research that, per the listing, “Researches real Pinterest keyword volumes,” plus trend alerts for your niche.
- Sources. WordPress, Etsy, Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce product sync, CSV uploads and Pinterest product catalogs.
- Upkeep. Scheduling with repeating pins, a profile audit, pin cleanup and a bulk update for affiliate links.
Pin Generator is run by a small team: the listing gives “Founded March 29, 2021,” Indonesia, 1-10 people, bootstrapped. The founder, Oliver Boyers, signs his posts “Ollie.” His first post says he built the tool for a blog he runs with his wife, and that it “unexpectedly became a hit with Etsy users.” The vendor’s page claims “36,739+ Active users.” We can’t check that figure.
The one thing most people miss: a year, then credits
Here’s the part most people miss, and it’s in two places at once.
First, the term. The plan cards read:
- 1 Code ($99): Pin credits “600 per month for 1 year.”
- 2 Codes ($198): Pin credits “2000 per month for 1 year.”
- 3 Codes ($297): Pin credits “3000 per month + lifetime access.”
Each card then ends with a line that says “Lifetime access,” including the two one-year cards. The deal terms settle it: “Choose between 1 year (Tiers 1-2) or Lifetime (Tier 3) access to Pin Generator.” So $99 and $198 buy a year. Only $297 buys the tool for good. Turns out this confused buyers too. In late September 2026 one asked what happens after the first year and called the tier and lifetime wording “a conflict.” The founder replied two days later with the same three lines: one code is 600 credits a month “for a year,” two codes 2,000 “for a year,” three codes 3,000 “for life.”
Second, the credits. Pin Generator’s pricing page charges by action. Read on 29 October 2026, its table says:
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Downloading or scheduling a pin | 1 |
| Generating AI text | 0.5 |
| Generating alt text with AI | 2 |
| Automatic SEO and trend targeting per post | 2 |
| Downloading or scheduling a video pin | 5 |
| A “nano banana 2 lite” AI image | 12 |
| A “nano banana 2 high quality” AI image | 24 |
In practice, that’s the real limit. Scheduling a template pin is cheap. Asking the AI to paint each image is not.
Worked examples: how many pins a month
These sums use the page’s credit table. We’ve counted an AI title and an AI description as two text actions at 0.5 each; the page doesn’t spell out whether that’s right, so honestly, treat the totals as close, not exact.
- Template pin, posted as is: 1 credit.
- Template pin with an AI title and description: 1 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 2 credits.
- Add AI alt text and automatic SEO: 2 + 2 + 2 = 6 credits.
- The full treatment with a lite AI image: 6 + 12 = 18 credits.
- The full treatment with a high-quality AI image: 6 + 24 = 30 credits.
Now divide each tier’s monthly credits by those costs.
| Pin type | Tier 1 (600) | Tier 2 (2,000) | Tier 3 (3,000) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 credits (template + AI text) | 300 | 1,000 | 1,500 |
| 6 credits (+ alt text and SEO) | 100 | 333 | 500 |
| 18 credits (lite AI image) | 33 | 111 | 166 |
| 30 credits (high-quality AI image) | 20 | 66 | 100 |
The founder’s own posts say users run “10–30 fresh pins a day.” Ten a day is about 300 pins in a 30-day month. Honestly, that’s where the numbers bite. At 6 credits a pin, 300 pins need 1,800 credits, which fits inside Tier 2 or Tier 3. At 30 credits a pin, the same 300 pins need 9,000 credits, which is three times Tier 3 and more than the vendor’s own 4,000-credit Growth plan. In practice, the AppSumo tiers suit template-led pinning with AI writing, and a handful of AI images a day at most.
If you’ve already got good pin templates in Canva, that’s the cheap route. When you want the AI to design every image, do the sum for your own volume before you pick a tier.

One-time prices on AppSumo, read 29 October 2026; Tiers 1-2 last one year, Tier 3 is lifetime. Pin Generator's own site showed a 20% flash sale that day: Pro $23.99 a month (was $29.99) or $191.90 a year for 1,000 credits a month, Growth $39.99 a month (was $49.99) or $383.90 a year for 4,000, and Agency $55.99 a month (was $69.99) or $479.90 a year for 10,000.
Prices checked Oct 29, 2026 on Pin Generator’s own pricing page. Lifetime deals are listings that can end or change, so check the live listing before you buy.
All three tiers carry unlimited linked Pinterest profiles, the WordPress, Etsy, Shopify and Amazon integrations and the AI rewriter. The only differences are the monthly credit count and whether access ends after a year. The listing’s alternatives box compares it with Buffer, Canva and Tailwind and says it “Does the same job for a one-time price from $99 instead of a subscription.” Don’t forget that for Tiers 1 and 2, that one-time price covers twelve months.
The deal vs Pin Generator’s own plans
Pin Generator’s pricing page, read on 29 October 2026, showed a “Flash Sale — 20% off,” which it says is “locked in for as long as your subscription stays active.” Prices that day:
| Pin Generator’s own plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Credits a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $23.99 (was $29.99) | $191.90 a year | 1,000 |
| Growth | $39.99 (was $49.99) | $383.90 a year | 4,000 |
| Agency | $55.99 (was $69.99) | $479.90 a year | 10,000 |
Every one of them says “Access to all features”; Agency adds “Priority support” where the others have email support. A link offers “higher-volume plans” beyond Agency, which we didn’t open. There’s no free plan, but the page offers a free automation with preview pins, “No card needed.”
Line them up by credits per dollar over one year:
- Tier 1: $99 for 7,200 credits (600 × 12), about $13.75 per 1,000.
- Pro annual: $191.90 for 12,000 credits, about $16.00 per 1,000.
- Tier 2: $198 for 24,000 credits, about $8.25 per 1,000.
- Growth annual: $383.90 for 48,000 credits, about $8.00 per 1,000.
Turns out Tiers 1 and 2 are priced close to the vendor’s annual plans, credit for credit, and they end after a year just like an annual plan does. The gains are a smaller first payment and a 60-day refund. Tier 3 is the real deal. It costs $297 once for 3,000 credits a month with no end date. That’s less than one year of Growth annual, for three-quarters of its monthly credits, and you pay nothing in year two.
Don’t forget the plan-name question. The terms promise “All future Starter Plan updates,” but the pricing page we read lists Pro, Growth and Agency, with no plan called Starter. The terms also say the deal will be “mapped to the new Plan name” if names change. Ask support which plan your code follows before you rely on a feature.
What buyers report
The listing shows 4.37 stars from 93 reviews: 62 five-star, 16 four-star, 4 three-star, 9 two-star and 2 one-star. The reviews and questions shown on the page tell a consistent story.
Faster, not hands-off. An April 2026 four-star review is titled “Makes Pinterest Faster, Not Hands-Off.” The reviewer says you can generate batches quickly and publish more consistently, but “You will still review and tweak outputs.” Their watch-outs were workflow friction, a queue they couldn’t find, and Pinterest API limits on categories and posting control.
Weak title rewrites, early on. A March 2026 review of an Etsy setup called the AI title rewrite “weak” and said it often produced duplicate titles, and that descriptions sometimes picked up prices and sizing. The founder replied in mid-April that he’d set rewrites to output unique titles and excluded prices from descriptions, adding that prices on Rich Pins come from Pinterest itself.
Design quality varies. A May 2026 three-star review said the pins were “not as attractive as the ones I can create in Canva.” The founder suggested the fully AI-designed pins in July. Don’t forget those AI pins are the ones that cost 12 or 24 credits each. If you’ve been happy with your own Canva designs, that review is worth a second read.
Long-term traffic. A February 2026 five-star reviewer said that 18 months after using the tool, “9% of my traffic on my blog comes from those pins.”
Checkout trouble. On 16 October 2026 a buyer whose one-year code expired the next day said the 3-code package was showing “1 year of access” and that the cart added a quantity of 3, for $891. The founder answered on 17 October: “this is a bug with AppSumo,” and asked them to email him. When we read the listing on 29 October, the cards showed $297 for 3 codes. Check your cart total before paying.
Credit resets. In July 2026 a lifetime buyer said their credits weren’t refreshing. The founder replied that “Credits are updated every 30 days” and said he’d look at adding a renewal date indicator.
The terms
The deal terms read:
- “Choose between 1 year (Tiers 1-2) or Lifetime (Tier 3) access to Pin Generator.”
- “All future Starter Plan updates.”
- “If Plan name changes, deal will be mapped to the new Plan name with all accompanying updates.”
- “You must redeem your code(s) within 60 days of purchase.”
- “Stack up to 3 codes.”
The guarantee line reads “Not covered by We Got Your Back. Listed by the partner, not reviewed by AppSumo.” The refund line reads “Refundable up to 60 days.” The listing has no end date shown, but nothing on it says the deal will stay live.
Pin Generator vs Tailwind, Buffer and Canva
The listing names Tailwind, Buffer and Canva as alternatives. Tailwind is the best-known Pinterest scheduler. Buffer schedules posts across several social networks. Canva is a design tool that Pin Generator itself imports from. We didn’t price any of the three for this review, so we won’t say which is cheaper. The useful difference is scope. Pin Generator only publishes to Pinterest, and its pitch is making the pins as well as scheduling them. If you also post to Instagram or LinkedIn, a Pinterest-only tool covers one channel. If you design pins by hand in Canva today, Pin Generator’s Canva import means you can keep doing that and use it for scheduling and writing.
Common mistakes with the Pin Generator deal
Reading “Lifetime access” on Tier 1. The terms say Tiers 1 and 2 last one year. Only Tier 3 is lifetime.
Planning on AI images for every pin. When you switch on high-quality images, the maths changes fast: at 24 credits for a high-quality image, Tier 1 makes about 20 fully AI-made pins a month.
Buying one code now and “upgrading later.” The October buyer ran into a checkout bug a day before their year ran out. If you think you’ll want lifetime access, buy Tier 3 inside one order and inside the refund window.
Expecting it to run itself. Buyers describe it as faster, with review still needed. Skip the “set it and forget it” idea.
Skipping the credit sum. Multiply your pins a day by 30 and by the credits per pin. Then pick the tier.
Paying without checking the cart. One buyer saw a tripled total. Make sure the cart says $297, not $891, for 3 codes.
Who Pin Generator suits
An Etsy or Shopify seller with product photos. Product sync plus template pins and AI text runs at about 2 to 6 credits a pin, so Tier 3’s 3,000 credits go a long way.
A blogger with a big back catalogue. Sitemap and RSS scanning turn old posts into pins. When you’re pinning 10 a day with templates, Tier 2 or 3 covers it.
An affiliate marketer. The bulk affiliate link update and Amazon sync are aimed at you.
Someone who wants every image AI-made. Do the maths first; even Tier 3 gives about 100 high-quality AI pins a month.
A team on several social networks. Pin Generator is Pinterest only.
How to test it inside the refund window
- Run the free preview first. The pricing page offers preview pins from your own site with no card, before you buy anything. If you’ve got a big back catalogue, point it at your best posts.
- Count your credits for a week. Run your real automation and note how many credits a typical pin takes with your settings.
- Try both image routes. Make a batch from your own templates and a batch with AI images, then compare them with what you’d make in Canva.
- Check the titles. Rewrite a batch of titles with AI and look for duplicates, the issue one buyer reported.
- Confirm your term and plan. Ask support whether your code is one year or lifetime, and which plan “Starter” maps to, in writing, before day 60.
What we couldn’t check
We didn’t connect a Pinterest account, so we can’t judge pin quality, posting reliability or traffic. We couldn’t confirm whether an AI title and an AI description count as one or two text actions, which shifts the worked examples a little. We couldn’t find a “Starter” plan on Pin Generator’s pricing page, so we don’t know which plan the update promise follows. The pricing page’s built-in product data also lists “Lifetime Bronze,” “Silver” and “Gold” plans that aren’t shown as cards you can buy; we couldn’t confirm what they are. We didn’t read Pin Generator’s own refund terms for direct buyers. The reviews we quote are the most recent ones shown on the listing, out of 93.
FAQ: Pin Generator questions
Is the Pin Generator AppSumo deal lifetime?
Only Tier 3. The terms say “1 year (Tiers 1-2) or Lifetime (Tier 3).” Tier 3 is $297 once for 3,000 credits a month.
How many pins do the credits make?
It depends on the pin. Scheduling costs 1 credit, AI text 0.5, AI alt text 2, a lite AI image 12 and a high-quality AI image 24. Tier 1’s 600 credits make about 20 fully AI-made pins or about 300 template pins with AI text.
Is the AppSumo deal cheaper than buying direct?
Tier 3 is: $297 once against $383.90 a year for the vendor’s Growth plan at the flash-sale price we read on 29 October 2026. Tiers 1 and 2 cost about the same per credit as the vendor’s annual plans and also last one year.
Can I connect more than one Pinterest account?
Yes. Every AppSumo tier lists “Linked Pinterest profiles: Unlimited.”
The verdict
Pin Generator is a well-reviewed Pinterest tool from a small, hands-on team, and Tier 3 is a good buy for anyone who pins regularly: 3,000 credits a month for life for less than a year of the vendor’s Growth plan. Tiers 1 and 2 are a different product, a year’s subscription at roughly the vendor’s own rate, even though their cards say “Lifetime access.” Honestly, budget for template pins with AI writing rather than AI images on every pin, skip the high-quality image setting until you’ve counted credits, run the free preview first, and use the 60-day refund to check your real credit use.
