Screpy review: the deal is Screpy's Pro plan, and Pro has no backlinks or keyword research

Screpy audits your site, tracks keywords in Google's top 10, watches Core Web Vitals and uptime, and pulls in Search Console data. AppSumo sells its Pro plan limits for 5, 10 or 15 projects, from $59 once. Here's what Pro leaves out.

Bottom line: Screpy is an SEO dashboard from a small team in Ankara, Turkey. It crawls your site for technical issues, tracks keyword positions, monitors Core Web Vitals and uptime, writes one AI article per project a day, and pulls your Google Search Console data into the same screen. On AppSumo it sells three plans, $59, $118 and $177 once, for 5, 10 or 15 projects. Every tier carries the same per-project limits as Screpy’s own Pro plan, and the deal terms promise “All future Pro Plan updates.” The catch is what Pro doesn’t include: Screpy’s own pricing page marks backlinks, keyword research, organic keywords, AI visibility and Map Tracker as “Not included” on Pro, and the AppSumo plan cards don’t list exclusions at all. The listing shows No “We Got Your Back” guarantee, but it is refundable up to 60 days.

Best for: site owners, freelancers and small agencies who want site audits, rank tracking for page one, speed and uptime monitoring, and white-label reports in one place, without a monthly bill.

Think twice if: you need backlink data, keyword research or competitor keyword data, or a rank tracker that sees past position 10. If you’ve built your SEO work around those, this deal won’t carry it.

We have no affiliate deal with Screpy or AppSumo; links go to the official pages. How we review.

Updated 29 October 2026. This Screpy review rests on what we read that day: the Screpy listing on AppSumo, including all three plans, the deal terms, the founder’s posts, recent questions and reviews, and Screpy’s own pricing page with its plan-by-plan limits. We haven’t crawled a site with it, so we describe the plans, the limits and what buyers report, not audit accuracy or speed.

What Screpy does

Screpy puts several SEO jobs in one dashboard. When you add a website as a project and connect Google Search Console, Screpy crawls the pages and scores what it finds. Every AppSumo plan card lists the same features:

  • Technical SEO audits and content analysis across up to 5,000 crawled pages per project.
  • Rank tracking for 100 daily-tracked keywords per project.
  • Core Web Vitals for 25 URLs per project, plus uptime monitoring.
  • Google Search Console integration.
  • One AI article per project per day.
  • 100 white-label PDF reports and 5 team members per account.

The founder’s July 2026 post on the listing, titled “We Rebuilt Screpy. Take Another Look.”, announces Screpy v6 and lists what came with it: “No More Credits – Standard plan limits are back,” Quick Wins for easy SEO opportunities, SERP analysis, on-page audits, Core Web Vitals monitoring, multi-language support, and light and dark mode. Screpy’s own site also describes an MCP server, so AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini CLI and Cursor can read your project data, and the founder confirmed in September 2026 that “MCP access is included in the lifetime Pro plan.”

The listing names Ahrefs, SEMrush, AccuRanker and Serpstat as the tools Screpy is an alternative to. Don’t forget that line; the next section explains why it matters.

What Pro leaves out, and the listing doesn’t say

Here’s what most people miss. The AppSumo cards list what’s included and stop there. Screpy’s own pricing page, read on 29 October 2026, lists the same Pro plan line by line, and several rows read “Not included”:

FeaturePro (the AppSumo deal)Max (Screpy’s own)
BacklinksNot includedIncluded

Map TrackerNot included50 a project
Competitor adsNot included20 a day
Competitors10 a project50 a project
Rank tracker100 a project3,000 a project
Uptime checksEvery 10 minEvery 5 min

So the tool AppSumo positions against Ahrefs and SEMrush doesn’t include, on this deal, the backlink and keyword research data those tools are mostly bought for. Honestly, that’s the decisive point of this review. Screpy on Pro is an audit, monitoring and rank-tracking tool. It is not a research tool.

Buyers have noticed. On 12 August 2026 a buyer asked why the exclusions weren’t listed, since many “would only be discovered after purchase.” The founder replied on 4 September that the AppSumo feature section has no option for listing exclusions. On 23 October another buyer asked how to add the backlinks section, which “isn’t included in any lifetime plan”; we found no answer yet. On 12 October a buyer asked whether the AI models on Screpy’s Max plan were available on the deal; also unanswered when we read it.

Two more limits come from the founder’s own answers. On 11 September 2026 they wrote that “the Rank Tracker reports rankings only within the top 10 Google results,” so a keyword sitting at position 14 won’t show its position. And Map Tracker, they said, “is available with the Screpy AppSumo Plus Exclusive plan,” which isn’t one of the three plans on this listing; we couldn’t find that plan.

Plans and how stacking works

AppSumo’s three plans, read on 29 October 2026. The listing shows each with a struck-through price ($204, $408 and $612) and “-71%”; those are the listing’s figures, not ours.

AppSumo planPrice onceProjectsEverything else
Plan 1$595Pro limits per project, 5 team members

Plan 3

One-time prices on AppSumo; each plan is a number of stacked codes (1 to 3), shown against struck-through listing prices of $204, $408 and $612. Screpy's own site lists Pro $19 a month or $192 a year, Max $45 a month or $456 a year, and Ultra $88 a month or $888 a year, and on 29 October 2026 ran a 72-hour 80% welcome offer.

Prices checked Oct 29, 2026 on Screpy’s own pricing page. Lifetime deals are listings that can end or change, so check the live listing before you buy.

The only line that grows with each code is projects. Crawl pages, tracked keywords, Core Web Vitals URLs and AI articles are all per project, so they grow in total as you add projects, but no single project gets bigger. The 100 white-label PDF reports and the 5 team members stay the same on all three cards. The cards don’t say whether the 100 reports are a monthly or lifetime figure. If you’ve promised clients a monthly PDF, ask before you count on them.

Picking a plan: four worked examples

A blogger with two sites. Plan 1 gives five projects, so two are used and three are spare for staging copies or new sites. That’s 200 tracked keywords across the two sites, and 10,000 crawlable pages, which is more than most blogs have. If you’ve got one or two sites under 5,000 pages, Plan 1 is the whole answer.

A freelancer with eight clients. Plan 1 runs out at five, so it’s Plan 2 at $118. Ten projects covers eight clients with two spare, 1,000 tracked keywords across the account, and one AI article per client site a day. Don’t forget the seat limit, though: five team members stays fixed even on Plan 2, so a client who wants their own login takes one of those five.

An agency with fifteen client sites. Plan 3 at $177 is exactly fifteen projects. Turns out that’s also the project count of Screpy’s own Max plan, but it isn’t Max: each project keeps Pro’s 5,000 crawl pages and 100 keywords, and there’s still no backlink data. In practice, an agency that sells link building will need a second tool for that part.

A shop with 20,000 product pages. The crawl cap is per project, and the founder said on 30 September 2026 that 5,000 pages “refers to the maximum number of pages that can be added and crawled within a single project.” It isn’t a monthly quota; re-crawls run on the schedule you set. But stacking codes won’t let one project crawl 20,000 pages, so a big store gets a quarter of its pages audited. Skip the deal if full-site crawls of a large catalogue are the point.

The deal vs Screpy’s own plans

Screpy sells subscriptions only on the page we read. Its prices on 29 October 2026:

Screpy’s own planMonthly listYearly listProjects
Pro$19 a month$192 a year5
Max$45 a month$456 a year15
Ultra$88 a month$888 a year50

The same page ran a “Welcome offer” with a 72-hour countdown, showing Pro at $3 a month or “$38 yearly,” and said the discount “continues on every renewal while your subscription remains active.” That offer is timed, so it may look different when you read it, and we couldn’t check who qualifies.

At list prices, Plan 1’s $59 equals about three months of Pro billed monthly, or under a third of a year billed yearly. Against the welcome offer, $59 is about a year and a half of Pro. In practice, the deal is clearly cheaper than paying list for Pro over several years, and a much smaller saving against the welcome price. The other side of the sum matters too: for $456 a year, Max adds the backlinks, keyword research and AI visibility the deal lacks. If you’ve got a real need for those, a cheaper lifetime Pro doesn’t replace them.

What buyers report

The listing shows 4.60 stars from 914 reviews (770 five-taco, 59 one-taco), and 1,015 bought. The recent reviews split sharply around the July 2026 rebuild.

New buyers on v6 are mostly happy. An August 2026 reviewer who bought on v6 praised the clean dashboard and Quick Wins, said Search Console data looked “more visually insightful” inside Screpy, and noted that support “can be delayed at times.” A July 2026 reviewer who bought in 2022 counted 37 audit checks, liked the MCP integration, and listed the gaps plainly: top-10 rank tracking, AI visibility not yet available, and “no backlink analysis or scheduled reports.” That reviewer mentions 150 tracked keywords; the plan card says 100 per project, and the card is what we’d plan on.

Older lifetime buyers lost features. Three September and October 2026 reviews come from people who bought before v6. One who bought the highest tier in 2025 wrote on 20 October that features “now require to pay,” including competitor keyword data. Another, on 30 September, said their “Unlimited websites” became a limit of 10, and that two support messages got no reply. A third said their old unlimited allowance became “21 projects and 10 members.”

The founder’s answer. On 30 September the founder replied that the old plans were credit-based, so “unlimited websites” never meant unlimited usage, and that the team has “restored the previous website limits for hundreds of customers who contacted us through a support ticket.” On 30 September another buyer wrote simply that they’d asked for a refund “as there is zero support.” In practice, support answers on the listing come from the founder, often within days, sometimes after weeks.

Honestly, both camps have a point. When you weigh these, remember the founder’s 11 September promise to a buyer: “Your current Pro limits will be preserved, even if the limits change in the future.” That’s a written answer on the listing, not a deal term. The 2026 rebuild shows plans can be reshaped after purchase.

The terms

The deal terms read:

  • “Lifetime access to Screpy.”
  • “You must redeem your code(s) within 60 days of purchase.”
  • “All future Pro Plan updates.”
  • “Stack up to 3 codes.”

The listing shows No “We Got Your Back” guarantee, with the line “we haven’t vetted it, so this guarantee doesn’t apply.” It also shows “Refundable up to 60 days from your purchase date.” The company card reads founded July 1, 2020, Ankara, Turkey, 1-10 people.

Screpy vs Ahrefs, SEMrush and Serpstat

The listing names Ahrefs, SEMrush, AccuRanker and Serpstat. We didn’t price or test any of them for this review, so we won’t say how they compare on cost or data. What we can say from Screpy’s own pages: on this deal Screpy has no backlink index, no keyword research and no organic keyword data, and its rank tracker stops at position 10. Those are the jobs the first three tools are usually bought for. Screpy’s deal fits as a cheaper audit, speed, uptime and page-one rank monitor, not as a stand-in for a research suite. If you’ve already got a research tool, Screpy can sit next to it.

Common mistakes with the Screpy deal

Buying it for backlinks. Pro marks backlinks “Not included,” and a buyer asked in October how to add them. Plan on another tool.

Expecting keyword research. Also “Not included” on Pro. You track keywords you already chose, so when you need fresh topic ideas, they come from elsewhere.

Tracking keywords outside the top 10. The founder says the rank tracker only reports the top 10. A keyword on page two shows no position.

Stacking codes for one big site. Codes add projects, not crawl pages. One project stays at 5,000 pages.

Planning for more than five logins. All three cards show 5 team members per account.

Missing the 60-day redemption window. Redeem every code you buy straight away.

Who Screpy suits

A site owner with a few websites. Plan 1 covers audits, speed, uptime and page-one rankings for up to five sites.

A freelancer sending client reports. White-label PDFs and per-client projects fit, within the five-seat limit.

Someone using AI assistants. MCP access is on the Pro plan, per the founder.

An SEO who lives in backlink and keyword data. Skip the deal, or keep your research tool alongside it.

How to test it inside the refund window

  1. Add your largest site and check how many pages the crawl reaches against the 5,000 cap.
  2. Track ten keywords, including a few you rank for on page two, and see what Screpy reports.
  3. Look for every menu item you’d need, especially backlinks and keyword research. Turns out a buyer noted that features outside the deal were removed from the menu, so a missing item usually means it isn’t included.
  4. Export a white-label PDF and ask support whether the 100 reports are monthly or lifetime.
  5. Open a support ticket with a real question and time the reply before day 60.

What we couldn’t check

We didn’t crawl a site, check audit accuracy or time a rank update. We couldn’t confirm whether the 100 white-label reports reset, what the “Screpy AppSumo Plus Exclusive plan” is, or whether the welcome offer on Screpy’s pricing page applies to every new customer. Two unanswered October questions, on backlinks and on AI models, were still open when we read the listing.

FAQ: Screpy questions

Is Screpy a one-time payment on AppSumo?

Yes. $59, $118 or $177 once, for 5, 10 or 15 projects, with 1 to 3 stacked codes.

Does the Screpy lifetime deal include backlinks?

No. Screpy’s own pricing page marks backlinks “Not included” on Pro, and the deal terms map to “All future Pro Plan updates.”

How deep does Screpy’s rank tracker go?

The founder said in September 2026 that it reports rankings only within the top 10 Google results.

Is the 5,000-page crawl limit monthly?

No. The founder said it’s the most pages one project can hold and crawl, re-checked on each scheduled analysis.

The verdict

Screpy on AppSumo is a fair buy if you know what you’re getting: site audits, Core Web Vitals, uptime, Search Console data and page-one rank tracking for up to 15 projects, at Screpy’s Pro limits, for a one-time price. It isn’t the Ahrefs or SEMrush alternative the listing suggests, because the backlink and keyword research rows are switched off on Pro. The 2026 rebuild, which left several older lifetime buyers with fewer features until they opened a ticket, is the other reason for caution. In practice, that means testing it hard inside the 60 days, with your own sites and your own keywords.
