Bottom line: ResumeUp.AI is an AI resume builder from a small bootstrapped team in India. It tailors your resume to a job description, scores it against an applicant tracking system (ATS) check, writes cover letters, turns a LinkedIn profile into a resume and tracks your applications. On AppSumo it sells seven tiers, from $49 once for one user to $2,999 for an agency allowance of 1,000 resumes a month. ResumeUp.AI’s own site charges $29 a month, so a single job seeker passes the break-even point in month two. The catch most buyers miss is in the terms: “This deal is unable to enhance/reduce between license tiers,” so the tier you buy is the tier you keep. The listing is “Covered by our We Got Your Back guarantee” and “Refundable up to 60 days.” The listing also showed a countdown of 11 days on 29 October 2026, so don’t assume it stays up.
Best for: job seekers in an active search, and career coaches or recruiters who build resumes for a known number of clients.
Think twice if: you need the official Europass format, you’ll want white label on a small tier, or you can’t afford to lose an editing session to an autosave failure.

Updated 29 October 2026. This ResumeUp AI review rests on what we read that day: the ResumeUp.AI listing on AppSumo, including all seven tiers, the deal terms, the founder’s FAQ, questions and reviews, and ResumeUp.AI’s own pricing page with its plan table. We haven’t built a resume with it, so we describe the plans, the limits and what buyers report, not how good its writing is.

What ResumeUp.AI does
ResumeUp.AI runs in the browser, with a Chrome extension for saving job posts. The listing’s overview describes four jobs:
- Building resumes. More than 20 ATS-friendly templates with custom colours and fonts. You can tailor an existing resume or start from scratch with the AI assistant, which adds keywords and highlights skills.
- Checking resumes. The checker flags “content gaps, missing keywords, and grammatical errors,” gives a quality score, and offers a one-click AI fix.
- LinkedIn. It suggests changes to your headline, summary, experience and skills, and can turn your LinkedIn profile into a resume.
- Tracking the search. The extension saves LinkedIn job posts in one click, and a dashboard keeps interview dates, status updates and follow-up templates for each application.
Every AppSumo tier ticks the same feature list: AI-assisted resume builder, premium templates, AI cover letter generator, resume analysis, ATS score checker, LinkedIn profile optimisation, the job tracker, the Chrome extension and personalised support. The listing names GPT-4 and Intercom as integrations, and the founder lists “GPT 4.0 APIs” as the one third-party tool the product depends on critically. Customer data, the founder says, is stored in the US and Europe.
In October 2026 a buyer asked whether job matching was included. The founder team answered on 26 October: “Yes, job matching scoring feature is available on the appsumo plans.”
The one thing most people miss: the tier is final
Most lifetime deals let you stack codes or upgrade later. This one doesn’t. The terms say “This deal is unable to enhance/reduce between license tiers.” So if you’ve bought Tier 1 for yourself and later start coaching clients, you can’t top it up to Tier 3; you’d need a new purchase, and the terms also say the deal is “Only for new ResumeUp.AI users who do not have existing accounts.”
Two more lines shape what “unlimited” means. The founder’s notes on the listing say “Fair usage policy applies to all our unlimited plans,” and “Each account is intended for a single user only.” So Tier 1’s “Unlimited resumes cover letters” is unlimited for you, not for a household sharing one login. Tier 2’s card reads “For all 3 users,” and Tiers 3 to 5 read “For each user/client,” which is how a coach gives each client their own seat.
White label is the third line to read before you buy. The terms say “White-label is only for Tiers 5, 6, 7. Tiers 1–4 can reach out to rohith@resumeup.ai to upgrade for a 1 time fee of $199.” In August 2025 the founder described the white-label version as the web platform with “your own custom domain, branding, logo, and colors and team management,” and said they hadn’t decided how the Chrome extension would work with it. We found no later update on the extension.
The plans

One-time prices on AppSumo, read 29 October 2026; tiers can't be changed after purchase. ResumeUp.AI's own site lists Monthly $29 a month, Quarterly $59 every 3 months and Half Yearly $99 every 6 months, each with AI mock interviews (5 a month) and autofill.
Prices checked Oct 29, 2026 on ResumeUp AI’s own pricing page. Lifetime deals are listings that can end or change, so check the live listing before you buy.
One wording oddity: the Tier 6 and 7 cards show both “Unlimited resumes cover letters” and a monthly resume figure. We read the monthly figure as the agency allowance across clients, but the listing doesn’t spell that out. If you’re spending $1,999, ask support how the 500 is counted before day 60.
Picking a tier: five worked examples
Turns out the right tier depends on how many people will use it, not on how many resumes you’ll write, because every user already gets unlimited resumes under fair use.
One job seeker, a four-month search. ResumeUp.AI’s own Monthly plan is $29 a month, so four months direct is $116. The half-yearly plan is $99. Tier 1 is $49 once and covers the next search too. If you’ve got a single month left in your search, honestly, $29 direct is cheaper; past month two, Tier 1 wins.
A couple both job hunting. Tier 1 is one person only, so two Tier 1 codes look tempting at $98. Skip the double purchase if a third person might join; Tier 2 gives three seats for $129, or $43 a seat.
A career coach with 15 clients a year. Tier 3’s ten seats cost $299, about $29.90 a seat. Fifteen clients won’t fit, and you can’t upgrade later, so Tier 4’s twenty seats at $549 ($27.45 a seat) is the safer buy. Whether a seat frees up when a client finishes isn’t stated on the listing; ask before you count on reusing seats.
A coach who wants their own branding. Tier 4 plus the $199 white-label fee is $748 for 20 seats. Tier 5 is $849 for 40 seats with white label included. In practice, the extra $101 doubles your seats, so Tier 5 is the better buy unless you’re sure you’ll stay under 20.
A small agency. Tier 6’s 500 resumes a month is 6,000 a year for $1,999 once, about 33 cents a resume in year one. Tier 7 doubles the allowance for $1,000 more. When you’re choosing between them, use your busiest month, not your average one.
The deal vs ResumeUp.AI’s own plans
ResumeUp.AI’s pricing page embeds a plan table. It didn’t display in our browser, so we read the same table from the data the page loads, on 29 October 2026:
| ResumeUp.AI’s own plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Monthly | $29 a month |
| Quarterly | $59 every 3 months |
| Half Yearly | $99 every 6 months |
All three list the same features: “Jobs matching your profile,” “AI Resume Builder – Unlimited,” “Unlimited ATS resume scans,” “Unlimited tailored resumes and cover letters,” “All 20+ premium templates,” the job tracker, the LinkedIn optimiser, a “Chrome extension — autofill + one-click job saving,” and “AI mock interview practice (5 interviews/mo).”
The deal terms promise “All future Monthly Plan updates,” which maps cleanly to the Monthly plan above. Don’t forget that the AppSumo cards don’t list mock interviews or application autofill by name, even though the Monthly plan does. The update line suggests you get what the Monthly plan gets, but ask support to confirm both before your refund window closes. The vendor’s site footer also names an MCP server and something called Twinny; neither appears on the listing.
For a single user the sums are simple: Tier 1 costs less than two months of the Monthly plan and half of one half-yearly payment.
What buyers report
The listing shows 4.31 stars from 96 reviews and 133 questions. The reviews split into two clear groups.
Some found jobs with it. A July 2026 reviewer wrote that they got “multiple interview invitations and job offers within four weeks,” while also mentioning “some data loss.” A May 2026 reviewer said they only needed three custom resumes before it “paid for itself already.” An April 2026 buyer who has followed the product since its first AppSumo launch said they’ve “watched ResumeUp.ai grow steadily.”
Support answers, sometimes in person. A July 2026 buyer who white-labels said a cofounder took their call after hours and promised to look at missing features within 24 hours. The listing says the team is “Expected to respond within 24 hours,” and every review we read had a founder-team reply.
Lost work is the recurring complaint. In June 2026 one buyer wrote that their husband’s resume was lost “three times” in two days. The founder replied the next day that autosave can fail “if the connection drops for a moment mid-save,” and also when the same resume is open in two tabs. Another June 2026 reviewer gave one taco after losing changes; the founder said the ResumeGPT chat editor “is still in Beta” and that a fix had been deployed. Older 2025 reviews describe 504 errors and a deleted resume. Most people won’t think about tabs until it bites them, so keep each resume open in one tab only.
The AI can invent numbers. An April 2026 reviewer said the optimiser added metrics like “increased revenue by 30%” that weren’t true, and got a refund. The founder replied that measurable results can be switched off globally in user preferences or per resume. If you’ve got a resume that must stay strictly factual, set that toggle first.
Scores can mislead. A May 2026 reviewer had an 81% score on a resume of “6-7 lines” and 43% on their fuller one, and said the tool reordered and reformatted their resume. Don’t trust a high score on its own; read the finished page as a recruiter would.
The terms
The deal terms read:
- “Lifetime access to ResumeUp.AI.”
- “All future Monthly Plan updates.”
- “If Plan name changes, deal will be mapped to the new Plan name with all accompanying updates.”
- “You must activate your license within 60 days of purchase.”
- “Please note: This deal is unable to enhance/reduce between license tiers.”
- “Only for new ResumeUp.AI users who do not have existing accounts.”
- “White-label is only for Tiers 5, 6, 7. Tiers 1–4 can reach out to rohith@resumeup.ai to upgrade for a 1 time fee of $199.”
The listing reads “Covered by our We Got Your Back guarantee” and “Refundable up to 60 days.” The founder’s own clarification adds fair use on unlimited plans and one user per account.
ResumeUp.AI vs ChatGPT and other resume builders
Several unhappy reviewers say you can do the same work in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. That’s partly fair: a general chatbot can rewrite bullet points. What ResumeUp.AI adds, on its own description, is the template layer, the ATS-style score against a pasted job description, the LinkedIn import and the application tracker, all in one account. One reviewer’s complaint cuts the other way: they found no way to tell the tool “Don’t invent facts” the way you’d prompt a chatbot, though the founder points to the metrics toggle.
ResumeUp.AI’s own site publishes comparison pages for Teal, Jobscan, Rezi, Kickresume and others. We didn’t read or price those competitors for this review, so we make no claims about them.
Common mistakes with the ResumeUp AI deal
Buying Tier 1 “for now.” The tiers are locked. When you might coach anyone later, buy the seats now.
Sharing one login. Each account is for one user. When you’re buying for a household, Tier 2 is the route the terms allow.
Paying $199 for white label on Tier 4. Tier 5 costs $101 more than Tier 4 plus the fee and doubles the seats.
Leaving one resume open in two tabs. The founder names that as a cause of lost autosaves.
Trusting AI-written numbers. Turn off measurable results, or check every figure it adds.
Already having a free account. The deal is for new users only; check with support before you buy if you signed up earlier.
Who ResumeUp AI suits
A job seeker in a search of two months or more. When you expect the search to run past month two, Tier 1 costs less than buying direct.
A household with two or three people looking. Tier 2, $43 a seat.
A career coach. Tier 4 or 5, picked on your yearly client count, since you can’t move up.
Someone applying only in Europe with Europass. In September 2026 the founder said: “We don’t currently offer the exact official Europass format.” Skip it if that format is required.
How to test it inside the refund window
- Import your real resume and check the layout survives; one September 2026 buyer reported sections running together after import.
- Turn off measurable results, then tailor to a real job post and read every line for invented facts.
- Edit for an hour in one tab and reload, to see that your changes stuck.
- Save five LinkedIn job posts with the extension and move them through the tracker.
- Email support to confirm mock interviews, autofill and, for agencies, how the monthly allowance counts.
What we couldn’t check
We didn’t build resumes, test the ATS score against real employer systems or measure how often autosave fails. The vendor plan table didn’t render in our browser, so we read its prices from the page’s data feed. We couldn’t confirm whether mock interviews and autofill are in the AppSumo tiers, whether coach seats can be reassigned, or how the Tier 6 and 7 monthly allowance is counted. The founder’s MRR and customer figures on the listing aren’t dated, so we haven’t relied on them.
FAQ: ResumeUp AI questions
Is ResumeUp AI a one-time payment on AppSumo?
Yes. Seven tiers from $49 to $2,999 once, read on 29 October 2026, each with “Lifetime access.”
Can I upgrade my ResumeUp AI tier later?
No. The terms say the deal “is unable to enhance/reduce between license tiers,” so choose your seat count before you buy.
Is the AppSumo deal cheaper than ResumeUp.AI’s own plans?
For anyone using it more than two months, yes. The vendor charges $29 a month, $59 a quarter or $99 every six months; Tier 1 is $49 once.
Does ResumeUp AI include white label?
Only on Tiers 5, 6 and 7. Tiers 1 to 4 can add it for a one-time $199 by contacting the founder.
The verdict
ResumeUp.AI is an easy buy for one job seeker: $49 once against $29 a month, with AppSumo’s guarantee and 60 days to back out. For coaches and agencies it’s a bigger, one-shot decision, because the tier can’t change and white label only starts at Tier 5. The repeated reports of lost edits and invented metrics keep the score down; test autosave and turn off AI metrics in the first week. And with a countdown on the listing, decide inside that window rather than assuming it will come back.
