AahSheet review: half the Pro price, but no way back

AahSheet is a set of Google Sheets that write and publish SEO articles with your own AI key. AppSumo sells 4 sheets for $59 or 16 for $189 once, well under its own prices, but the deal is not refundable and Tier 1 leaves out more than it looks.

Bottom line: AahSheet is not an app. It’s a set of Google Sheets with Apps Script code behind them that research, write, illustrate and publish SEO articles in bulk, using an AI key you pay for yourself. On AppSumo, read on 29 October 2026, License Tier 1 is $59 once for 4 sheets and License Tier 2 is $189 once for all 16. AahSheet’s own price page sells the same two versions, LITE and PRO, for $189 and $397. So the deal is far cheaper. The catch is plain: this deal is not refundable. The plan card says “Not refundable”, every plan lists “Deal is ineligible for refunds/downgrades”, and the terms repeat it, even though the same card also carries the line “Covered by our We Got Your Back guarantee”. The listing’s timer says the deal ends on 2 November 2026.

Best for: WordPress and Shopify site owners, and SEO agencies, who already write with AI and want bulk flows they control, inside a spreadsheet, without a monthly word cap.

Think twice if: you want a polished app, you need a refund window to try things, or you’d buy Tier 1 expecting NeuronWriter, Surfer or OpenRouter.

Updated 29 October 2026. This AahSheet review rests on what we read that day: the AahSheet listing on AppSumo, including both plans, the deal terms, the founder’s posts, questions and reviews, and AahSheet’s own price page, FAQ and licence agreement. We haven’t run the sheets, so we describe the plans, the limits and what buyers report, not the quality of the articles.

What AahSheet does

You get copies of Google Sheets with a custom menu at the top. You paste in an API key from an AI provider, add keywords or URLs in rows, and the sheet runs a flow: outline, write header by header (or in one pass with newer models), add images and internal links, then push the finished post to WordPress or Shopify. AahSheet’s FAQ describes it this way: “there is a custom menu added to the top of the Google Sheet,” and “you do not need to know code.” It also says the sheets carry “over 10,000 lines of code for you to edit.”

The listing names these features on both tiers:

  • Scale: “Unlimited websites”, “Unlimited user seats” and “Unlimited AI content (BYOK)”.
  • Writing: “Custom AI workflow”, “50+ languages”, “Internal linking”, “AI images”, “AI chat mode”.
  • Publishing: “Push content to your website”, “WordPress and Shopify integrations”.
  • Research: “Keyword research”, “URL analyzer”, “Sitemap scraper”, “Bulk scraper”.
  • Automation: “24/7 self-running mode”.

The founder’s August 2026 update post on the listing adds a newer layer: an “Advanced Mode” for thinking models, a “Legacy Mode” for the older header-by-header flows, a setup wizard, GitHub export with pull requests, optional Unsplash images, and better NeuronWriter imports. That matters, because a year earlier, in August 2025, the founder told a buyer that “AahSheet is not designed to run the reasoning / thinking models yet.”

The FAQ also lists “Magic Functions” you can type into any cell, such as =AI(), =serp() for the top 20 DuckDuckGo results, and =getHeadings() to pull a page’s headings.

What most people miss: Tier 1 is the LITE version, and it’s thin

Here’s the line most people miss. At $59, Tier 1 looks like the obvious buy, and the long list of features under it repeats almost everything under Tier 2. But four rows differ, and they’re the ones that decide whether the tool fits your workflow:

Row on the AppSumo cardTier 1 ($59)Tier 2 ($189)
Sheets included416
Website and search scraperNoYes
Shopify products and eCommerce sheetsNoYes
SurferSEO, NeuronWriter, Straico, and OpenRouter integrationsNoYes

The tooltip names Tier 1’s four sheets: “BB Max, BlogTuner, Bulk AI Images, and Team Content Process.” That’s the bulk writer, the single-article tuner, an image sheet and a progress tracker. Everything else, including Neuron Max, Surfer Max, Magic Max (the one-click automation), Blog Refresh, Shopify Products, the scrapers and the keyword and profit calculator, sits in Tier 2.

Turns out the OpenRouter row matters more than it looks. AahSheet’s FAQ says the AI models you can connect are “OpenAI, Claude, Google, Grok (& OpenRouter on Pro version).” In September 2026 the founder’s advice to a new buyer was “I vote try OpenRouter,” and a June 2025 reviewer said they followed the same advice. If you’ve got only Tier 1, that route isn’t open to you.

There’s also a small conflict to settle before buying. The AppSumo card lists “Sitemap scraper” and “Bulk scraper” under Tier 1. AahSheet’s own price page marks “SiteMap Scraper” and “Bulk Scraper” as not included in LITE, and the founder’s October 2024 post on the listing puts both sheets in Tier Two only. When you’re buying Tier 1 for scraping, honestly, assume you won’t get it, and ask the founder in the questions tab first.

The plans, priced

Both plans are lifetime licences, read on 29 October 2026. There are no codes to stack; the terms say “No codes, no stacking—just choose the plan that’s right for you.”

PlanPriceIncludes
License Tier 1
WordPress bloggers using OpenAI or Claude keys
$59 once 4 sheets: BB Max, BlogTuner, Bulk AI Images, Team Content Process, Unlimited websites, seats and content (BYOK), No NeuronWriter, Surfer, OpenRouter or Shopify product sheets
License Tier 2
NeuronWriter users, Shopify stores, agencies
$189 once 16 sheets, Website and search scraper, Shopify products and eCommerce sheets, SurferSEO, NeuronWriter, Straico and OpenRouter integrations

One-time prices on AppSumo, read 29 October 2026; the listing shows Tier 1 struck through at $189 and Tier 2 at $497, and the deal timer ends 2 November 2026. AahSheet's own price page lists LITE $189 and PRO $397, 'Truly Lifetime & Unlimited'. AI provider costs are paid separately (bring your own key).

Prices checked Oct 29, 2026 on AahSheet’s own pricing page. Lifetime deals are listings that can end or change, so check the live listing before you buy.

The terms tie Tier 1 to “Lite” and Tier 2 to “Pro” plan updates, which match the LITE and PRO names on AahSheet’s own price page. That’s clearer than most deals we read.

The deal vs AahSheet’s own prices

AahSheet’s price page, read the same day, shows two one-off products under the heading “Truly Lifetime & Unlimited”:

AahSheet’s own versionPriceWhat it covers
LITE$189“Access To Our 4 Flagship Sheets”, “Upgrade To Pro Available”
PRO$397“Suite of 16 sheets & GPTs”, “50+ Languages”

So Tier 1 on AppSumo is $130 less than LITE direct, and Tier 2 is $208 less than PRO direct. One oddity: the AppSumo listing shows Tier 2 struck through at $497, while AahSheet’s own page says $397 for PRO. We’d go by the vendor page for what PRO costs today, and treat the listing’s “was” price as the listing’s own figure.

The vendor’s site also offers no refund route that we could find. Its terms and agreement don’t mention refunds, and the FAQ answer on AppSumo says the website “doesn’t explicitly mention a satisfaction guarantee or refund policy,” pointing instead to free sample articles, the cheaper LITE version and the training videos.

Picking a plan: four worked examples

In practice, the tier choice comes down to which tools you already pay for, not how many articles you’ll write, because both tiers are unlimited on content.

A blogger with one WordPress site and an OpenAI key. Tier 1’s BB Max and BlogTuner cover bulk drafting and polishing, and posts can be pushed to WordPress. At the vendor’s own estimate of “$0.05 per Article on Avg,” 200 articles would run about $10 in AI fees, on top of the $59. That’s the vendor’s figure, not ours, and it excludes your time editing. When you create the key, don’t skip the monthly spending limit your AI provider offers.

A NeuronWriter or Surfer subscriber. You need Tier 2; Tier 1 crosses out both integrations. If you’ve already paid for one of those tools, the $130 gap between the tiers is what buys you the flows that use it.

A Shopify store with 300 products. The “Shopify products and eCommerce sheets” row is Tier 2 only, along with the Reviews Analyzer and Conversion Copy sheets the founder lists. Tier 1 can push blog posts to Shopify, but not rework product pages in bulk. Tier 2 at $189 is the realistic buy.

An agency running client sites. “Unlimited websites” and “Unlimited user seats” cover the volume. Don’t forget the licence wording, though; see the terms section below before you build client work on it.

The terms do allow “Ability to upgrade between 2 license tiers while the deal is available.” They don’t say what an upgrade costs, and the timer ends on 2 November 2026. If you’re unsure which tier you need, the safer move is to decide before the deal closes rather than counting on an upgrade later.

What buyers report

The listing shows 4.93 stars from 58 reviews: 57 at five tacos and one at one taco. 1,049 people have bought it. The reviews span several AppSumo runs; this one started on 31 August 2026, when AppSumo staff posted that AahSheet was “back available for purchase on AppSumo for a limited time only.”

The no-refund rule worries people first. It comes up again and again. A September 2026 reviewer wrote they were “skeptical about getting this deal because there was no refunds available.” A September 2024 reviewer was “hesitant at first because of the no-refund rule,” and an August 2025 reviewer said the same. All three ended up happy.

There is a learning curve. If you’ve never worked past simple formulas in Google Sheets, plan time for the training videos before your first bulk run. A June 2025 reviewer called it “Bizarre but kinda brilliant,” warned “It’s a spreadsheet, so don’t expect a lovely User Interface,” and said default settings with a small model produced “pretty generic stuff.” The one-taco review, from March 2025, is titled “Steep learning curve, zero refunds—unlike most AppSumo deals. Proceed with caution.” The founder replied the same day, inviting them to get help.

Support is personal. Reviewers repeatedly name the founder, Shawn Altman, and describe help over email and in the Facebook group. The founder FAQ on the listing gives the team size as “Just me :)”, with about 500 customers at the time it was written. That’s honest, and it’s also a single point of failure for support.

Questions show the edges. In August 2025 the founder answered that WordPress custom post types are supported “Not at this time,” that “There is no API available currently with AahSheet” (it sends JSON to a webhook you supply), and that “AahSheet is not doing keyword research like a true keyword research tool.” In September 2026, asked about GEO, the founder said “There is no GEO specific video or training. We are an SEO and content AI solution,” even though the listing’s headline sells “automating GEO + SEO content creation.”

The terms

The deal terms read:

  • “Lifetime access to AahSheet.”
  • “All future Lite (Tier 1) or Pro (Tier 2) Plan updates.”
  • “If Plan name changes, deal will be mapped to the new Plan name with all accompanying updates.”
  • “No codes, no stacking—just choose the plan that’s right for you.”
  • “You must activate your license within 60 days of purchase.”
  • “Ability to upgrade between 2 license tiers while the deal is available.”
  • “Previous AppSumo customers who purchased AahSheet can upgrade their license to increase their feature limits.”
  • “Due to the nature of this product, this deal is not eligible for refunds or downgrades.”

The plan card shows “Not refundable” and, beneath it, “Covered by our We Got Your Back guarantee” with “Carefully selected by AppSumo for quality, performance, and support.” Those two lines sit side by side. We read that as AppSumo vouching for the product, not as a money-back promise; the deal is still not refundable. In practice, when you see both lines on one card, trust the refund line and the written terms.

AahSheet’s own licence agreement is worth reading too. It grants “a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Code for personal use only,” bars you from distributing the code, and says the provider “may terminate this License at any time, for any reason or no reason.” The FAQ softens that, asking only that you not share the sheets “outside of your company or team.” We couldn’t tell whether the agreement’s “personal use only” wording applies to AppSumo buyers, or how it squares with agency use. If you’ve got client work in mind, ask in writing.

The upside of the format: the FAQ says that if the business ended, “you will still keep your Google Sheets with the attached code.” Your AI keys, your sheets and your articles stay in your own accounts.

AahSheet vs Jasper and SheetMagic

The listing says AahSheet is an “Alternative to” Jasper, and that it “Does the same job for a one-time price … instead of a subscription.” Jasper is a hosted AI writing app; AahSheet is code in your spreadsheet that calls an AI provider you pay. They’re built differently, and we didn’t price Jasper for this review. A buyer in August 2025 compared AahSheet with SheetMagic’s design; the founder replied that SheetMagic offers cell functions while AahSheet is “flows and a content system.” We didn’t read SheetMagic’s pages, so we can’t compare the two beyond that exchange.

Common mistakes with the AahSheet deal

Buying without reading “Not refundable”. There is no 60-day window here. Treat the purchase as final.

Buying Tier 1 for NeuronWriter, Surfer or OpenRouter. All three are crossed out on Tier 1.

Trusting the scraper rows on Tier 1. The vendor’s own page and the founder’s post put the sitemap and bulk scrapers in Pro only.

Forgetting the AI bill. “Unlimited” content means you pay your AI provider per article. Most people miss this when they compare the price with a monthly writing app. Set a spending cap on your API key.

Publishing default output. One reviewer found default settings produced generic copy. Tune styles and tags, then edit before publishing.

Missing the activation window. The terms say you “must activate your license within 60 days of purchase.”

Who AahSheet suits

A WordPress blogger comfortable with spreadsheets. Tier 1 at $59 covers bulk drafting and posting, if OpenAI or Claude keys are enough.

An SEO writer who already pays for NeuronWriter or Surfer. Tier 2 at $189 connects them.

A Shopify store. Tier 2, for the product and ecommerce sheets.

Someone who wants a clean app and a refund window. Skip the deal.

How to test it before you buy

There’s no refund on this deal, so all of your testing has to happen before you pay.

  1. Ask the founder for a sample article. The FAQ says to send “a keyword and details about the project” to hey@aahsheet.com.
  2. Watch the public demo on aahsheet.com/demo and check the sheet layout suits how you work.
  3. Ask in the questions tab whether Tier 1 includes the sitemap and bulk scrapers, given the conflict between pages.
  4. Ask about agency use under the vendor’s “personal use only” licence wording.
  5. Price your AI usage with your provider for one month’s planned articles before you choose a tier.

What we couldn’t check

We didn’t run any sheet, so we can’t speak to article quality, run times or how well the WordPress and Shopify publishing works. We couldn’t confirm whether Tier 1 includes the sitemap and bulk scrapers, since the AppSumo card and AahSheet’s own page disagree. We couldn’t find what “We Got Your Back” covers on a deal marked not refundable, what a tier upgrade costs, or whether the “personal use only” licence applies to AppSumo buyers. Ask before the deal closes on 2 November 2026.

FAQ: AahSheet questions

Is the AahSheet AppSumo deal refundable?

No. The listing says “Not refundable,” and the terms say the deal “is not eligible for refunds or downgrades.”

What’s the difference between AahSheet Tier 1 and Tier 2?

Tier 1 ($59) has 4 sheets. Tier 2 ($189) has 16, plus the website and search scraper, Shopify product sheets, and SurferSEO, NeuronWriter, Straico and OpenRouter integrations.

Do I need my own AI key for AahSheet?

Yes. Content is “Unlimited AI content (BYOK),” so you pay your AI provider; AahSheet’s price page estimates “$0.05 per Article on Avg.”

Is the AppSumo deal cheaper than buying AahSheet directly?

Yes, on the pages we read. AahSheet lists LITE at $189 and PRO at $397; AppSumo sells them for $59 and $189.

The verdict

AahSheet is a real, long-running toolkit from a one-person company, with very happy buyers and a founder who answers nearly everything. On price, Tier 2 at $189 against $397 direct is a strong deal for anyone who already lives in Google Sheets and pays for NeuronWriter or Surfer. Tier 1 is much thinner than its feature list suggests. The score is held back by the terms: no refund, a vendor licence that reads “personal use only,” and a guarantee line that doesn’t change either. Honestly, if you’ve got any doubt about the tier, ask your questions first, then buy only the tier you’re sure of.
